Studio Recording

This image captures a multi-microphone drum kit setup for a studio recording session. I was responsible for the mic placement, signal routing, and gain staging to ensure a clean, balanced capture across all elements of the kit. The setup included mics on the kick, snare, and toms, overhead condensers for stereo imaging, room mics to add natural ambience and depth. This session gave me the opportunity to experiment with phase alignment, mic polar patterns, and EQ strategies to achieve a tight yet natural drum sound. Working in a controlled studio environment helped sharpen my attention to detail and reinforced the importance of capturing a high-quality source before any post-production processing.
